This Linen Plain Weave Striped Tape is one of many variations of linen tapes found in the 17th-19th centuries. While advertisements sometimes listed only "tapes" they often described tapes with name or pattern, such as this advertisement from in October 1761. The Anders Berch collection includes made by the manufacturer Lendal in Alingas, Sweden in 1755.
